“Last year, I moved from Newton to senior housing in Marlborough. Before I left, four prominent local officials urged me to introduce myself to a young Marlborough City Councilor named Samantha Perlman. They had come to know Samantha through joint participation in leadership programs sponsored by various statewide organizations. All had high praise for Sam’s professional and organizational skills, personal credibility, infectious optimism, and capacity to lead positively, clearly, and effectively. I joined Sam’s mayoral campaign this past summer. I can attest that everything the four Newton officials told me about Sam is true. She will be an outstanding mayor. There is another timely feature to Sam’s candidacy that is particularly urgent. I’ve been a volunteer in scores of political campaigns going back to Adlai Stevenson’s 1956 election run. I have never seen the political dialogue as consumed by as much hate and division as it is now. Sam's positive vision for Marlborough and the optimistic, down-to-earth ways she presents carefully researched and fact-based proposals to voters are a perfect antidote to all the poison that nefarious opponents of democracy are releasing into American society. I have faith that this is what a clear majority of voters in Marlborough and beyond really want.”

"Sam's dedication to Marlborough was evident from the moment I met her canvassing door-to-door in September 2021, in a mask, even though she was virtually guaranteed re-election. Across her two terms as At-Large Councilor, Sam has proven to be diligent and organized, and passionate about serving all of the citizens of Marlborough. It's an exciting time to be living in Marlborough, and Sam's leadership is part of that excitement for me. I look forward to her being Marlborough's next mayor!"

"My family supports Samantha Pearlman for Mayor because she cares deeply for every member of our community. She demonstrates her value and respect for others through her responsiveness and call to action. We contacted Samantha during the pandemic about opening our public parks for use and she diligently worked to resolve the issues keeping them closed. Pearlman also values education and will do everything she can to secure more resources for our district. This is of particular interest to our family with 2 school age children."
Helen, Ward 5 Resident, engaged citizen and voter.
"Since even before running office for the city of Marlborough, Samantha has always put our community first and sought out ways to better Marlborough for all. I first met her as we worked together as mentors for MPS students through Big Brother Big Sister. I am proud to vote for someone I know to be a champion for all people in the community - no matter age, gender, ethnicity or any other defining characteristics. Sam recognizes the power of our diverse community and has spent her time on the council embracing and empowering that. She has proven herself to be an accessible and responsive leader, quickly establishing herself as the councilor you turn to if you want to get something done. She is passionate about our community, and I believe her comprehensive agenda and relentless spirit is what our city needs to lead us through this next phase."

"I believe in Marlborough, and I want to see it continue to thrive. There are some things that I would like to see change such as road repair, revitalizing downtown, supporting small businesses, and making the city government more accessible and efficient. Once I met Sam Perlman and had a chance to get to know her; I was convinced that not only could she do the job, but these were among her priorities in her platform. I believe in her more than any other person Ive ever met. Her ability to multitask, political background, endless energy, education, respect and love for veterans, support for seniors, and vision for Marlborough have convinced me that she should be our next Mayor."
Kevin (retired US Air Force) & Antoinette, 29-year Ward 6 Residents
"Samantha is one of the most caring leaders we've ever met. She listens to her community and takes action to make a difference. She's not afraid of confrontation for justice but listens to all sides to get a true understanding before making an educated and appropriate decision. Samantha will be the change this city needs to bring those who have differing opinions and understanding together to form a strong united community like the foundations this Nation was formed on. Please take your right to vote seriously and move Samantha Pearlman into the Mayoral position to improve the streets and public works, keep our community safe while we move ahead as one beautiful City we all love!!"

It has made me realize the importance of getting young people into office who have big ideas and fresh perspectives for our community. Sam's commitment to getting young people involved in local politics and Marlborough was completely eye-opening, and as a result I am more connected to my community like never before. Sam is such a great mentor and friend, and I know she will be an amazing Mayor. She uplifts others wherever she goes, and she will do the same thing for the City of Marlborough if elected Mayor."
